Futures of Pacific Fisheries Management
How can we help the many stakeholders in the fishing industry and coastal communities of the US Pacific coast prepare for uncertain impacts of climate change over the next 15-20 years? Worldview Studio worked with the Pacific Fisheries Management Council to script and produce a mini-documentary about their scenario planning process and four potential but very different futures that might unfold. The stories centered on two questions: Should we approach fishery management differently in this era of climate change? PFMC shared the video with fishery managers, scientists and fishing operators before and during a series of implications workshops and also invited the general public to consider the uncertainties ahead.
