AI Research Awards
How might we showcase Stanford University’s innovative and interdisciplinary AI research in ways that engage potential partners and supporters and the public? We helped HAI research grantees tell the stories of their research projects on video. We helped them describe the questions that are driving their groundbreaking research, the methodologies they are using, and the potential impact of their work for science and society, all in ways designed to pique the interest of non-academic audiences. The research discussed included using curious, self-aware AI agents to build cognitive models and understand developmental disorders, robotic devices to augment human locomotion, and AI tutors that prepare students for the 21st century workforce.
